Pete Angilello, Writer and Storyteller
I am a passionate author dedicated to crafting compelling stories that resonate with readers. My journey as a writer has been shaped by my love for storytelling, and I am excited to share my creative process with you.
I worked thirty years as a children's librarian & media specialist in both public and school libraries. In my positions, I worked in developing literacy programs for young people and families and wrote and administered federal and state grants. I had a puppet theatre company for ten years. I retired in 2015 and have been dabbling in writing, exploring a craft I have loved since childhood.
I'm completing a narrative memoir tentatively titled "Everywhere, Still: Continuing A Relationship With Those We've Loved and Lost." It is a story about the death of my husband of 35 years to suicide in 2018. It has been central to my grieving and healing, and I'm hopeful that it will be helpful to others.
I enjoy writing memoir, nature essays, nonfiction, and children's novels.
Discover my journey as an author and the experiences that have and continue to shape my writing. I share insights into my background, my motivations for writing, and the passion that drives my creativity. Join me as I explore the world of storytelling and the power of words. In the past, I have offered workshops on storytelling, writing family stories, and writing through grief.
